Anything ESSO needs to be watched...repeatedly. This dude is an incredible emcee. Here he is on WUSB 90.1 StreetFM freestyling (and yes, he name drops me so I'm definitely pushing this to get MANY views).
At a packed house at the Sin Lounge last night, the homie ESSO put on a damn good show (on no sleep for seven days, it was REALLY impressive). Meka of 2DopeBoyz, Angela Yee, Sway from MTV and The Wake Up Show and more were all in attendance for the event. Here is the Harlem, NY native owning the Gucci Mane "Lemonade" instrumental with a freestyle.
I definitely had a good time doing these two interviews with the Harlem, NY emcee. Not only is he super-talented, but he's very intelligent as well (anyone who has ever interviewed a rapper can attest to how refreshing it is to hear that). His latest album, The Anti-Socialite, released today, so why not post the interviews up now? Here you are for your viewing pleasure. Make sure you download The Anti-Socialite (link in previous post); it's a great project.
I love getting new, dope music in my email. Here is the long-awaited album by Harlem emcee ESSO titled The Anti-Socialite. This is a great project–definitely worth the download. Interviews with the young-and-ignorant emcee coming very soon.
Watch live video from streetfm on Justin.tv Tonight, Harlem's finest emcee ESSO will be in the studio chopping it up with Ike Infamous, DJ Mickey Knox, DJ Six3One and "The First Lady" Felicia on WUSB StreetFM 90.1. For a life broadcast, stay locked in here, from midnight-3 a.m.
Being bored at work can often breed creative thought and spawn...well...some dope shit. Here are two videos I created from my photography from ESSO's shows at 92Y Tribeca and BLVD in NYC over "Young & Ignorant" and "Misunderstood."
I love when I look at my BlackBerry and find an email from an artist that makes good (no, GREAT) music. Here is the first single from ESSO off f his upcoming release, The Anti-Socialite titled "New York, New York" produced by Rena1ssance.
Harlem emcee ESSO performed at Beyond Race Magazine's "Emerging Artist Showcase" at BLVD in NYC last night. Here is a freestyle from the rapper, who is also featured in the latest issue of the magazine.
Beyond Race Magazine is hosting a concert tonight at BLVD in NYC. The "Emerging Artist Showcase" will feature the So So Glos, ESSO, Brown Rice Family, Drew and the Medicinal Pen and DJ Dedi. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10.
Shameless self promotion? Absolutely. We're all allowed to have our ego stroked once in a while. Check my photography from the Game Rebellion X ESSO X Donny Goines X Emilio Rojas show in a concert review (written by Lamont Sappleton) on the Beyond Race Magazine Web site, BeyondRace.com.
Harlem emcee ESSO also was on the bill with Emilio Rojas at 92Y opening for Game Rebellion. Here is the emcee performing "Don't Stop" from the Michale Jackson-inspired project, Off The Wall.
Last Friday night, New York up-and-coming emcee Emilio Rojas opened up for Game Rebellion at 92Y Tribeca in NYC. Here he is performing "Bold and Arrogant" live from his latest release with DJ Green Lantern, The Natural.
The Brooklyn band with an undefinable style and musical genre, Game Rebellion, will be performing live tonight at 92Y Tribeca in NYC. Other performers include some of New York's finest class of up-andcoming emcees, Donny Goines, ESSO, and Emilio Rojas. Tickets are $10 and the show starts at 9 p.m. To purchase tickets click here.
