Love Helps: Haitian Earthquake Relief Afterwork Mixer Tonight at Stay Lounge


Stay Lounge will host "Love Helps: Haitian Earthquake Relief Afterwork Mixer" tonight from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. There is no cover-charge, however, donations are accepted and encouraged. Donations other than monetary are also accepted such as pre-paid cell phones. All donations will be given to Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti foundation. Music will be provided by Haitian deejay Vega Benetton. Sponsors for the event include VladTV.com, 5pointmagazine.com, FreesWorld.com and many more.

Donations For The Victims Of The Earthquake In Haiti

A 7.0 earthquake ravaged Haiti on Tuesday January 12, 2010, which, according to The International Red Cross, has affected an estimated three-million people. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake was the most violent earthquake in a century, and the strongest Haiti has experienced in over 200 years. Aide for the victims of this natural disaster has been made via government organizations, celebrities, sports organizations and more. Here are a few ways you can donate.

Yéle Haiti, an organization founded by Wyclef Jean in 2005, aims to provide greater knowledge for Haiti and provides community service programs including distributing food and providing emergency care for those in need.
