After tearing down the stage at the Crazy Donkey on Long Island, NY, I had the chance to chop-it-up with LOX/D Block representative Sheek Louch. Here, he talks about his early recordings, meeting up with Large Professor, Def Jam and more.

Just sent this flyer with some info regarding a casting call for models for a new, up-and-coming clothing line, but with respect to the company certain details are to remain unspoken until the day of the casting call. The source is reliable so this casting call is legit, and please, serious inquiries only.
These are a little old but I found them buried deep on my laptop this afternoon so why not share it with the world now? Keith Murray and CL Smooth tore down Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY. Check out this classic material.
It's been a long time, sorry I left you, without a dope blog post to step to...

I recently caught up with Arsonists' front man Q Unique at one of the final in-store events at Fat Beats NY (R.I.P.) for a quick interview, and the emcee had quite a bit to say. In this two-part interview the emcee speaks about everything from the direction and style of his latest album, Between Heaven and Hell, his musical transformations and growth, keeping featured artists within his family, music projects outside of hip hop, reuniting with his group at Fat Beats, and more.
His latest solo album, Between Heaven And Hell, will be in stores tomorrow. Check the single, "Crack Era," below.
The StreetFM WUSB 90.1 family, Ike Infamous, DJ Mickey Knox, DJ Six 3 One and The First Lady Felicia, will be live tonight from midnight to 3 a.m. playing the best of hip hop that you won't hear on any other radio station. Stay here for a live stream.
Marvin Moore has been a busy man as of late, performing at the Crazy Donkey and more in the last week, but most recently the Product G&B frontman joined Ashanti on stage in Glen Cove. Here are the photos.

You've got to love surprises. While shooting photos and video and writing a concert recap for my freelance journalism job, I was (as well as the entire town) surprised with the announcement that Glen Cove native Ashanti would be accompanying Marvin Floyd and Friends to perform a few songs for the community that she was a part of for most of her life. I must say it was a pleasant surprise to see the absolutely beautiful songstress perform songs from "Happy" to "The Way That I Love You" and more, hyped up by deejay Smooth City, in front of her home town; a community that from the reception she received, obviously adores her. Check the photos below.
***Marvin Moore of Product G&B took the stage as well, those photos are soon to come.
First, the Cop Shop closed, now Fat Beats is closing its New York and Los Angeles locations. Although this is a sad time for hip hop, the store will host in-store appearances from your favorite artists all week. Check the schedule below.
I've been a fan of Marvin Moore a.k.a. Money Harm from Ghetto & Blues (formerly Product G&B) for quite some time now; from "Maria Maria" and "Dirty Dancin'" with Carlos Santana to "Cluck Cluck," "Here We Go" with Khadeja, and my personal favorite, "Feel It" with EMC, the man makes great music. With that said, its pretty obvious that getting to shoot his show at the Crazy Donkey was definitely a good time. Here are some photos from the performance shot by yours truly (check the video of "Maria Maria" in the previous post as well).

I had the pleasure of covering an outdoor concert in Glen Cove, NY's Village Square from a former Ray Charles backup singer named Cynthia Scott. Her performance was phenomenal. Here's some of the leftover video I shot of the performance (and the links to the two articles on Glen Cove Patch are below).

Here, the Chicago rhyme veteran speaks about how one of the greatest emcees of all time, for reasons known and unknown, doesn't get the respect and accolades he properly deserves, and how he suffers from the same curse.

I've never been the biggest fan of Air Force 1's, but these Hampton's AF1s are a must have. They represent Long Island, they're classy, they're clean, they're fresh; and now they're at the Sneaker Bistro. Be there Saturday at noon for the release, or call in now to pre-order...631-730-7132.
Diabolic is an emcee with no fear of what other emcees and people within the industry think of him...and he proves it here. Check out Long Island's own freestyling live on StreetFM.
Frontline, a band that I have covered for other publications before, recently played at Dublin Pub in New Hyde Park; here are some photos from the event. Make sure to check their next performance at Sutton Place in Long Beach on July 24. More details on FrontlineRock.com.
Sorry for the lack of blog presence lately, been slightly occupied with new employment ventures. Anyway, here's a DOPE interview with a very interesting emcee by the name of Netic from Game Rebellion. Dude is funny and serious about his craft...worth checking out, for real.
Victory Records happens to be one of my favorite record labels, Wretched happens to be one of my favorite bands, and now Victory Records recording artists Wretched have made me pretty excited by using my photos (with the exception of drummer Marshall Wieczorek's photo) in their new MySpace layout. If you're not familiar, check them out.
Here are some artists that if you don't already know about, you need to get acquainted with ASAP; Kalae All Day (AMAZING!), We Stole The Show and YC The Cynic, all live from Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY.
To be blunt, the PackFM album release party was crazy This dude is super-talented, a hard worker and puts on a great live show. The same can be said for Diabolic and Ruste Juxx, who all can be seen below.
Here is my exclusive interview with QN5 music artist PackFM. Here, the emcee speaks about hating rappers, his graffiti influences and his new album, I F*cking Hate Rappers, which is available now.

I had the opportunity to interview an up-and-coming band for a Web site I do freelance writing and photography for by the name of Frontline. Getting to interview the band and then see them practice was a great experience so when the opportunity came up to see them perform I was intrigued to see them live in front of a crowd. They performed for about four hours and put on a great show. Here are some photos from the show.
Here is an interview I did with the legendary Brooklyn emcee Big Daddy Kane. Although it was cool to interview this iconic hip hop figure, I wish he (and his people) was cooler in person. Sorry, but having legendary status doesn't mean you can be cold to people. I just call it how I see it.
(Enough with the negativity, just check the interview out! LOL).
Anything ESSO needs to be watched...repeatedly. This dude is an incredible emcee. Here he is on WUSB 90.1 StreetFM freestyling (and yes, he name drops me so I'm definitely pushing this to get MANY views).
Sorry for the lack of blogging–been a rough couple of weeks.
But...
I found this sitting on my laptop and felt the need to drop it today. Emilio Rojas is a dope dude and some of what he says in this interview solidifies that. If you're not up on him, get up on him; this is a star in the making.
*Photo by Peter Verry I had the privilege of getting to shoot behind the scenes at the J The S video shoot for "Put My Cape On" off his latest release, Wish You Were Here (and be in the video too, can't wait to watch myself 3,190,227 times when it drops). Here's just one photo from the shoot; video and tons of photos will be put up closer to the release of the video. The shoot, shot in two locations (Times Square Arts Center and a warehouse in Brooklyn) definitely was an awesome experience, complete with gorgeous (GORGEOUS!) women, great Mexican food, listening to "Put My Cape On" at least 64 times and a mandatory trip to Arby's on the way home (the roast beef and cheese sandwich was heavenly). Definitely check for more behind the scenes footage coming very soon.
